tried doing it the hard way, then after much frustration tried the easy way on cyberchef..

just solved the challenge using cyberchef, can anyone explain to me how to do it by only using binwalk or other method? i feel like using cyberchef is a lazy way to do it...

binwalk is unintuitive, with a misleading man page. It also extracts the ghost png data as a .zlib file, which is misleading. foremost extracts the hidden file easily.

idk why people are downvoting you. You're a lifesaver! Cyberchef is definitely being saved as a bookmark for me. I spent over an hour trying to open the ZLIB file smh
